We are seeking skilled

Cabinet Maker

to join our team. In this role, you are responsible for assembling architectural custom (commercial, hospitality & institutional) wood pieces according to architectural blueprints, while taking pride in high-quality craftsmanship and attention to detail. Our ideal candidate will have experience in woodworking, assembling a wide variety of interesting furnishings, and a strong understanding of various tools and techniques used in the industry.

ONBOARDING SCHEDULE:



Until team is ready to move to evenings, the schedule will be Monday to Friday, 7:30 am to 4:00 pm.

Advanced notice will be provided when moving to the afternoon shift.


Key Responsibilities:



Using full architectural blueprints, assemble millwork items including (not limited to) reception desks, point-of-sale counters, decorative features, furnishings, cabinets, and other custom products. Prepare wood surfaces for Finishing department, pre or post assembly of the item, as needed. Measure and join wood components, ensuring precise dimensions and alignment for each piece. Use hand tools, power tools, and other equipment such as drills, saws, and sanders to perform tasks efficiently and accurately. Ensure high-quality assembly, including smooth clean edges and precise cuts to ensure aesthetic and functional requirements are met. Inspect work pieces for defects or misalignments to ensure high standard of craftsmanship and escalate if necessary. Maintain quality to ensure the finished product meets company standards and customer expectations. Report any material defects or inconsistencies and take corrective action as needed. Work closely with other team members, including project managers, engineering, programming, or other teams to ensure the successful completion of each project. Maintain clear communication regarding job progress, and any issues encountered during assembly. Help ensure that inventory levels are maintained and notify supervisors of material shortages or stock discrepancies. Participate in training or upskilling opportunities as required to enhance your skills and knowledge. Follow all health and safety regulations, ensuring a safe and clean working environment. Maintain organization of workstations and materials to ensure efficiency and minimize hazards.

Skills and Qualifications:



Must be able to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment, with tight deadlines as outlined by project plans. Must have strong experience reading and interpreting blueprints, drawings, and specifications. Education, certification and/or training in millwork, wood working or a related field, is an asset. 3+ years of proven experience in architectural millwork assembly and woodworking. Solid understanding of woodworking tools, machines, and techniques. Strong communication skills Ability to work effectively as part of a team and independently.

Physical Aspects:

Lifting, standing (2-3 hours at a time), walking, bending, and repetitive elements in tasks (ex. sanding)

Pay: $18.00-$20.00 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 40 per week
