We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Cabinet Engineer with a proven track record using Cabinet Vision software. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing comprehensive plans and technical drawings for large, high end, custom kitchens and multi-unit/retail projects. This role involves developing sketches, performing calculations, generating quotations, sourcing specialized hardware, creating specification sheets, and compiling other essential data to ensure design accuracy and manufacturing efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:



Review designs provided by the sales team, identifying and correcting any inconsistencies, flaws in design, engineering, or installation. Ensure strict adherence to all established company standards as per Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and supervisor instructions. Communicate proactively with designers regarding any required or proposed changes. Prepare order confirmations for customer sign-off. Update AutoCAD drawings as necessary to reflect design changes or improvements. Create detailed CAD drawings for custom items as needed. Collaborate with the customer satisfaction representative to gather feedback from the installation team and prepare service orders. Upon design approval, prepare production paperwork, including material specifications and manufacturing instructions, utilizing standard company software. Communicate with the Purchasing department regarding any "special" materials and hardware requirements beyond the standard Bill of Materials (BOM) generated by the software. Maintain and update all necessary scheduling systems to ensure efficient production flow. Communicate any issues, solutions, or proposals effectively to the supervisor and team members. Actively participate in weekly Operations (OP) meetings. Adhere to established timelines for deadlines, reporting to the supervisor and implementing corrective actions before impacting the next department ("customer"). Meet established output requirements for the plant, reporting to the supervisor and taking corrective action before impacting the next department ("customer"). Adhere to expedited timelines for service orders (48 hours), reporting to the supervisor and taking corrective action before impacting the next department ("customer"). Save all electronic files according to company standards. Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:



Minimum of 3 years of order processing experience in the kitchen/woodwork manufacturing industry.

Extensive experience with Cabinet Vision software is a mandatory requirement.

AutoCad experience is preferred. Extensive knowledge of wood, wood products & cabinet hardware is required. Proven experience in kitchen and cabinet detailing. Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet critical timelines. Construction, Engineering, or Architectural degree or diploma. Ability to thoroughly interpret architectural drawings and technical specifications with a strong understanding of trade scope of work. Ability to effectively manage multiple priorities and meet competing deadlines. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
