The Bylaw Compliance & Enforcement Officer is responsible for investigating complaints, conducting inspections, promoting voluntary compliance through education and engagement with the public, and collaborating with other local agencies and community partners.
Key Responsibilities
Reporting to the Manager of Legislative Services, the Bylaw Compliance & Enforcement Officer is responsible for enforcing municipal bylaws and regulations to ensure public safety, community standards, and quality of life.
Qualifications
The successful candidate will have completed Bylaw Compliance, Enforcement & Investigative Skills Levels 1 and 2 from the Justice Institute of BC, or equivalent, and a minimum of 2 years related experience, demonstrating conflict resolution, investigative and regulation enforcement.
This position is a CUPE Local 2262 position with an attractive hourly rate of $40.62 (as of September 1, 2025) plus excellent benefits.
