We are seeking a Buyer II in the industrial and construction industry to work from our Mississauga Ontario Division reporting to the Purchasing Manager.BENEFITS OF WORKING WITH US

WHAT YOU WILL DO

• Comply with safety requirements and actively promote a positive safety culture.
• Request quotations (RFQ) from vendors and subcontractors for estimating in all trades, including civil, electrical, mechanical, HVAC to meet closing dates. Determine or negotiate contract terms and conditions, award supplier contracts or recommend contract awards.
• Submit quotes to Estimator as soon as received, also review to ensure specifications and materials are correctly quoted.
• Collaborate with the Project Manager and project team upon the award of a project. Ensure all ordered materials are delivered to the job site in a quality and timely manner.
• Manage the submittal, approval process, and delivery schedule of major equipment with the project team.
• Purchase general and specialized equipment, materials, and subcontractor services for construction projects.
• Review plans, specifications, and contracts to ensure the correct equipment, material and subcontractor services are ordered and/or purchased.
• Ensure all purchasing activities and personal behaviours are compliant with the Code of Business Conduct as well as other corporate, financial, and regulatory requirements.
• Additional duties as assigned.

WHAT YOU NEED TO JOIN OUR TEAM

• 5+ years construction purchasing, estimating or other relevant experience

• Intermediate knowledge of Excel, spreadsheet knowledge, and experience and purchasing software
• Construction or electrical experience is preferred.
• Ability to manage priorities, strong time management and organizational skills.
• Ability to professionally handle a fast-paced environment.
