Job Description



WHAT TO EXPECT

The Buyer\'s main responsibilities include managing a purchasing portfolio made up of several suppliers of parts and products supporting production as well as managing the non-production purchasing requirements of all departments within the company. The buyer must ensure that prices, terms and conditions, delivery times and the quality of the goods purchased are competitive. Being responsible for the optimization of these three pillars of supply, he/she works mainly in close collaboration with the operations and engineering departments in order to find the best business partners to optimize supply methods and sources. Here\'s an overview of your tasks:
  • Manage purchase requisitions from submission to invoice payment
  • Tender, order and follow up on deliveries of various purchase requirements
  • Manage and analyze calls for tenders
  • Communicate assiduously to requesters the progress of their files
  • Implement procurement strategies, by type of product, to optimize the overall efficiency of the management and consumption of requirements
  • Negotiate annual price lists, contracts, terms and conditions in order to meet the company\'s objectives in terms of price competitiveness, delivery times and product quality
  • Conclude and manage long-term agreements with strategic suppliers
  • Manage various procurement projects as part of a multidisciplinary team, applying best practices in project management

WHAT WE\xe2\x80\x99RE LOOKING FOR

  • Bachelor\'s degree or DEC in administration, mechanical engineering or equivalent
  • Minimum of 3-5 years experience in purchasing in a manufacturing or MRO environment
  • Bilingualism, both written and spoken
  • Knowledge of ERP software
  • Strong customer service skills
