Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Meat Cutter to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in food preparation and a strong understanding of meat cutting techniques. As a Meat Cutter, you will be responsible for ensuring high-quality cuts of meat are prepared and presented to our customers while adhering to food safety standards. Your expertise will contribute to an exceptional customer experience in our establishment.

Duties

Perform meat cutting and trimming tasks with precision and attention to detail. Prepare various cuts of meat for display and sale, ensuring freshness and quality. Package meats appropriately for retail display while maintaining food safety standards. Maintain cleanliness and organization in the meat preparation area, adhering to sanitation guidelines. Assist customers with inquiries, providing excellent customer service regarding meat selection and preparation. Monitor inventory levels of meat products and assist in ordering supplies as needed. Follow all food handling procedures to ensure compliance with health regulations.

Requirements

Proven experience in meat cutting or as a butcher is preferred. Strong knowledge of food safety practices and handling procedures within the food industry. Familiarity with various cutting techniques and equipment used in meat preparation. Excellent customer service skills with the ability to engage positively with customers. Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen environment while maintaining high standards of quality. Attention to detail and strong organizational skills are essential for success in this role. Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays as needed.

Pay: $20.56-$22.00 per hour
