Responsibilities

Cut, trim, and prepare various types of meat according to customer specifications and company standards. Ensure all meat products are properly packaged and labeled for sale. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the butcher area, adhering to food safety regulations. Assist customers with their meat selections, providing knowledgeable recommendations and excellent customer service. Monitor inventory levels of meat products and communicate needs for restocking to management. Perform regular equipment maintenance and ensure all tools are sanitized after use. Stay updated on industry trends and best practices in food preparation and handling.

Requirements

Proven experience in the food industry, particularly in meat cutting or as a butcher is preferred. Strong knowledge of food safety standards and regulations related to meat handling. Excellent knife skills with a keen attention to detail in food preparation. Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen environment while maintaining high-quality standards. Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage positively with customers. Physical stamina to stand for long periods and lift heavy items as needed. A commitment to maintaining cleanliness and organization within the workspace.
