Summary
We are seeking a skilled Butcher to join our team at The Big Carrot. In this role, you will be responsible for preparing high-quality meat products while ensuring compliance with food safety standards. Your expertise will contribute to our mission of providing healthy and sustainable food options to our community.
Responsibilities
Cut, trim, and prepare meat products according to specifications.
Ensure all meat handling and preparation meets health and safety regulations.
Provide excellent customer service by assisting customers with their meat selections.
Maintain cleanliness and organization in the butcher area and kitchen.
Collaborate with kitchen staff to create new meat-based dishes.
Monitor inventory levels of meat products and assist in ordering as needed.
Requirements
Proven experience as a butcher or in a similar role within the food industry.
Strong skills in meat cutting and preparation techniques.
Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices.
Excellent customer service skills with a passion for healthy eating.
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
