Join our newly developed, centralized Academic Quality and Operational Excellence (AQOE) team at NAIT, and put your talents to work as the Business-Functional Analyst. Reporting to the Senior Business Analyst, you will play a key role in the strategic evolution of AQOE.



We are seeking an experienced people-centric Business-Functional Analyst. This hybrid role combines Business Analyst and Functional Analyst responsibilities, serving as the Subject Matter Expert (SME) on platforms sponsored by AQOE to ensure optimal configuration and alignment with business needs. You will bridge the gap between technical solutions and business processes, providing expert guidance on platform functionality, configuration, and process improvement, while also training end users and maintaining up-to-date training resources.




Through people-centric, holistic analysis, you will help AQOE strike the right balance between end-user training, process improvement, and platform enhancement. In practice, you will discern whether the best-fit solutions arise from providing training to end users, challenging outdated business processes, adjusting configurations within existing system functionality, articulating new features to be considered for development, or identifying bugs that need to be resolved.




This role requires exceptional communication and collaboration skills, as well as strong proficiency in business systems and information technology.



Key Responsibilities:



Functional Analyst (Platform SME):

Maintain deep expertise on the operational aspects of platforms and systems sponsored by AQOE, including configuration, upgrades, and troubleshooting. Serve as the go-to resource for platform-related queries and support.

Business Process Analyst

: Collaborate with business units to understand processes, gather requirements, and identify opportunities for improvement. Analyse the interaction between business processes and system functionality to ensure alignment.

Training and Documentation:

Develop and deliver training for end users on platform functionality and related business processes. Create and maintain comprehensive training materials and resources.

Requirements Articulation:

Work under the direction of the Senior Business Analyst to document and prioritize requirements. Facilitate discussions to determine if gaps are due to training needs, process improvements, system limitations, or bugs.

Solution Assessment:

Recommend options for resolving business problems, balancing the need to challenge existing processes with the potential for platform enhancements or configuration changes. Recommend solutions that align with strategic objectives and maximize system benefits.

Support & Operations:

Provide tier 2 functional support for platforms, including troubleshooting and issue resolution. Coordinate with technical teams and external support providers as needed.

Change Management:

Communicate new functions, processes, and rules to stakeholders. Monitor the efficacy of new functionality and raise issues as appropriate

Qualifications & Experience:



Bachelor's degree in information systems technology, or a related field. Strong knowledge of business analysis methodologies, process mapping, and workflow automation. Experience with project management methodologies (Agile, Scrum, or Waterfall) is an asset. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Equivalent combinations of education and experience may be considered.

Remuneration

: $77,036.96 - $102,057.54 annually, plus a comprehensive benefits package.
