What you\'ll be doing

As a member of CIBC\xe2\x80\x99s Capital Markets Risk Management & Treasury Trading Team, Business Systems Analysis is responsible for providing technical expertise for service delivery and operations for the project management office tools and systems. You\xe2\x80\x99ll lead complex projects to design strategic solutions aligned to CIBC\xe2\x80\x99s enterprise architecture roadmap. As a Business Systems Consultant (BSC), you\xe2\x80\x99ll support end-to-end project implementation and act as a subject matter expert in both business and technology. You\xe2\x80\x99ll ideate and collaborate with a diverse team to create and set up flexible, innovative solutions that deliver a best-in-class client experience.

How you\'ll succeed

Understanding and documenting requirements - Work closely with business partners to gather complicated business requirements and facilitate solution design discussions to ensure you meet project needs. Create strong relationships, lead discussions, listen and ask the right questions to ensure solutions meet requirements.

Solution design - Assemble client-focused solutions that meet business requirements. Prepare and validate solution design documents around areas such as scope clarification, solution requirements, and quality assurance.

Leading and mentoring \xe2\x80\x93 Support end-to-end project implementation as a subject matter expert, and provide guidance to a diverse team of technology and project professionals. Maintain a collaborative work environment and support team members to resolve organizational, operational, and process problems.

Who you are

As a Business Systems Analyst, you can participate in projects and designing solutions. You should possess strong analytical skills with an understanding of Risk Management documentation (specifically Credit Risk) and the ability to interpret in terms of system requirements. You should possess effective communication skills (recognizing that verbal and non-verbal communication is more than just language \xe2\x80\x93 it includes tone, style and structure) and be a team player. Ideally you have strong technical skills in SQL querying, Excel (Pivot tables), Data Analysis and Systems analysis. We\xe2\x80\x99re looking for someone hungry and eager to solve problems and demonstrate independent resourcefulness as well as recognizing when to seek guidance.

You have a degree/diploma in Computer Science, Business, and/or a related field, and you\xe2\x80\x99ve spent at least 3 years in a BSC role leading projects and designing solutions. It\xe2\x80\x99s an asset if you have experience with Agile methodologies, and Application and/or Architecture Development.

It\xe2\x80\x99s an asset if: You have knowledge of BRD, SRD, Credit Risk and/or Capital Markets business, CFA, FRM or CSC certification
