Role: Business Systems Analyst (BSA) OSFI / OFSI Regulatory
location: Toronto

Are you a detail-oriented Business Systems Analyst with a strong understanding of OSFI regulations and Canadian financial compliance?
We're looking for a BSA to support regulatory initiatives for a leading banking client. You'll act as a key liaison between business and IT, ensuring that projects align with Basel III, IFRS 9, Capital Adequacy Reporting, and other key regulatory frameworks.
Key Responsibilities
Gather and document business & functional requirements related to OSFI guidelines.
Lead initiatives such as BA returns, CAR, mortgage underwriting, and liquidity adequacy reporting.
Bridge communication between business, compliance, and technology teams.
Work with data teams on sourcing, validation, and reconciliation.
Conduct gap analysis and impact assessments for OSFI-driven changes.
Support UAT activities test planning, defect management, and signoff.
Provide subject matter expertise on financial regulatory compliance.
Required Skills
5+ years as a Business Systems Analyst in banking or financial services.
Proven hands-on experience with OSFI, Basel III, IFRS 9, Liquidity/CAR reporting.
Familiarity with financial instruments: loans, mortgages, derivatives.
Tools: AxiomSL, Wolters Kluwer, Moody's RiskAuthority.
Strong documentation and communication skills.
Nice to Have
Experience with SQL, Excel, or Power BI.
Knowledge of FINTRAC, AML/KYC, or other Canadian regulatory bodies.
Familiarity with Agile or hybrid SDLC methodologies.
