Description :
The Business System Analyst (BSA) partners with business owners to design and implement efficient, end-to-end business processes supported by systems and technology. Working in a collaborative team environment, the BSA coordinates with vendors, technical teams, the Help Desk, business users, and project teams to ensure policies, procedures, and system configurations align with operational needs. When enhancements or changes are required, the BSA leads the change request process--assessing impacts, documenting requirements, and providing informed recommendations to the Director, Business Relations and Applications.
Location: Our corporate office based in Acheson, AB
Work Arrangement: Hybrid - providing the flexibility to work 3 days in office and 2 days remote per week.
Salary Range: $85,000 - $95,000 per annum
Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8 hours per day
What You'll Do

  • Partner with business owners to understand process requirements and translate them into system-supported solutions.
  • Maintain expanding applications
  • Provide support to ERP end users including documentation of end user ticket concerns
  • Test and research analysis of applications
  • Ensure systems and processes adhere to organizational policies and standards.
  • Provide escalation Help Desk support with live troubleshooting
This position may be required to provide occasional after hours support on a rotational basis.
This position is classified as an Individual Contributor role in SMS Equipment's competency framework, requiring demonstration of core competencies (customer focus, collaboration, and technical/functional expertise).
What You Bring
The successful applicant will have a post secondary education in a related field and at least 5 years of experience in a customer service environment. The applicant will also have experience with testing and troubleshooting applications. ServiceNow experience, system programming and experience with analytics is an asset.
Other key qualifications include:
  • Advanced experience with MS Office with an awareness of Azure.
  • Experience with mobile (iOS) applications are an asset.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to support end users.
  • Bilingual (French & English) is considered an asset.
