JOB RESPONSIBILITIESSupervise unionized hourly employees in the powerhouse
Responsible for operation and maintenance of powerhouse
Manage department maintenance and operating budget
Compliance with the Voyageur Plant Optimization (VPO) program and particular focus and compliance to the Maintenance Pillar and all aspects that apply to this role. Where identified by VPO, address production and operations problems as well as issues regarding utilities of brewery
Lead department with VPO, safety and continuous improvement initiatives
Responsible for Key Performance Indicator improvement for utilities and waste water management to maintain legal, safe and regulatory compliance. Performance GAP analysis and action plans to address production and operations issues in the powerhouse
Responsible to ensure supply of utilities to internal clients. Work on preventative maintenance programs/issues when assigned by the Resident Engineer or requested by the Maintenance Manager
Responsible for Environment and Safety results
Identify and promote energy and utilities related projects. Handle CAPEX projects as assigned by the Resident Engineer. Act as a liaison between the brewery and Zone Brewery Support
JOB QUALIFICATIONSUniversity degree in Engineering (mechanical, chemical, industrial, or electrical)
3-5 years experience in a related field
In-depth knowledge of utility and wastewater systems
Knowledge of the brewing and packaging processes considered an asset
Excellent interpersonal, communication and problem-solving skills
Ability to influence peer departments with regard to utility reduction initiatives
Insistent change agent driving utility reduction initiatives
Project management skills
Proficient knowledge of Microsoft office tools and preferred knowledge of computer maintenance management systems such as SAP
