Why this role is important?

Reporting directly to the Sr. Manager, Pharmacy Procurement, the incumbent supports all data management systems \xe2\x80\x93 SAP, CRx, Kroll KCM, MMS and VMS \xe2\x80\x93 for pricing and product listings, Dedicated Supplier Product (DSP) maintenance, deals and allowances, vendor information, etc. In addition, the incumbent will assist in the general administration/management of product inventory and supply issues and implementation of specific programs to maximize sales, gross margin dollars and improve market share.



User Support

  • Lead for critical issues within Pharmacy SAP Master Data, Supply Chain, Costing as well as CRX and KCM
  • Team expert in SAP Pharmacy related to Master Data, Supply Chain and Costing
  • Record, track and categorize user issues and determine criticality
  • Analyze, describe and resolve systems, business process and master data related inquiries from Pharmacy Procurement
  • Maintain and analyze issues log and identify opportunities for optimization
  • Create and manage incident tickets and identify assigned groups (functional, technical, master data)
  • Communicate priorities and escalate issue within SAP, CRX, KCM and validate resolutions
  • Continue to lead data conversions, including mock loads, mock validations and pre/post validations
  • Capture business requirements and lead system updates related to federal and provincial changes
  • Creation of UAT test cases including performing and signoff of User Acceptance Testing (UAT) for SAP, CRX and KCM changes
  • Managing interfacing from and to SAP to support SAP Master Data, Supply Chain, Costing as well as CRX and KCM
  • Supporting Access/SQL databases to ensure they are functional and working with Pharmaceutical Partnerships team to repair database issues
Communication and Process Improvement
  • Provide central point of contact for business users on all Pharmacy SAP Master Data, Supply Chain, Costing as well as CRX and KCM related issues
  • Communicate with business users and management on issue status\xe2\x80\x99, system availabilities and system changes
  • Regular progress reporting to business on system maintenance
  • Provide reinforcement for standardization of business processes
  • Maintain solutions and business process document library to support key business areas
  • Create required documentation for enhancements to existing systems and processes as requested by the business and approved by management on all Pharmacy SAP Master Data, Supply Chain, Costing as well as CRX and KCM
  • Collaborate and partner with different business areas to effectively support end users and drive efficiencies
Training Development and Delivery
  • Identify training opportunism for users on all Pharmacy SAP Master Data, Supply Chain, Costing as well as CRX and KCM
  • On-boarding/training of new users to the systems
  • Supporting the Manager in the creation and management of work instructions related to training
  • Educate and train business users on the incident management process and tools
  • Support Sr Manager, Pharmacy Procurement on development, initial scripting, testing and approval for example BRD, UAT Test Cases
  • Support training documentation and delivery with Learning & Development as required including communication of changes in day to day processes
Experience
  • Undergraduate degree is required in science, math or statistics
  • 3 to 5 years working experience in master data
  • SAP Technical knowledge is a requirement
  • Advanced Excel, strong analytical ability, problem solving and attention to detail
  • SQL experience is an asset
  • MicroStrategy or equivalent experience is considered an asset
  • Requires an understanding of inter-related work processes to be able to adapt to differing assignments
  • Provides routine information to coordinate the assignments and work procedures of others
  • Draws on a number of known options to solve problems and to develop improvements
  • Computer skills to produce effective, spreadsheets, reports, documents and presentations, as required
  • Adaptable to set and prioritize work with varying exceptions. Able to work with diverse personalities and styles
  • Communicates with clarity, verbally and in one on one or group situations, or over the telephone
  • Communicates well in writing by composing clear documents; ability to assist with editing and/or proof-reading is required
  • Business acumen - demonstrated understanding of quality standards relative to pharmaceutical products and knowledge of provincial formulary guidelines and drug scheduling
