North American Equipment Parts Distributors (NAEPD) is a new subsidiary of Great West Equipment, which provides parts support for Madill dealerships. Now we\'re looking to add a new member to this growing team: someone who is organized, enjoys a fast-paced environment, and thrives on continuous learning.

As the Business Operations Manager (BOM) of NAEPD, you\'ll play an integral role in managing the day-to-day operation in compliance with the company\'s established policies and procedures, as well as ensuring compliance with environmental regulations and safety programs. Working with the C.O.O., you play a key role in attaining the company\'s short and long-term objectives. As part of the leadership team, you play a key role in recruiting and developing employees.

Working with the branch manager, you will:

  • Forecast and plan in conjunction with the C.O.O.
  • Forecast parts volumes and plan for adequate staff and equipment to meet projections including capital expenditures
  • Recruitment and people development
  • Leadership development
  • Conduct monthly parts meetings to communicate company objectives and policies
  • Hold regular countertop meetings to review; parts issues, goals, safety standards, and other relevant topics
  • Control costs by effectively managing all areas of NAEPD.

  • Qualification. You have successfully managed a heavy equipment (or similar industry) entity with 3 or more employees for at least 5 years. While post-secondary education in business, management or equipment trades would be an asset, we are ultimately looking for an individual who is motivated to solve problems, drive sales, and lead their team. You\'re ready to apply all that you have learned to make NAEPD your employee\'s and customers\' first choice.

  • Tech savvy. You will be comfortable with learning new software (eEmphasys preferred) and have strong Excel and Word skills.
  • Financial Knowledge. You apply financial management principles to ensure decisions are fiscally sound and responsible. You have experience with full-cycle financial management from budgeting to monthly and quarterly analysis and the ability to make decisions to stay on track. You have a proven track record with procurement and are able to proactively manage costs, logistics and inventory levels.
