WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING:
Reporting to the Chief Operating Officer, your role as
Business Operations Analyst
will develop and track operational metrics, support continuous improvement initiatives, and drive process and quality certification efforts.
The duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:
Define and monitor Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) for project health and business performance.
Automate data collection and reporting systems.
Analyze data trends and recommend process improvements.
Lead roadmap development for quality certification.
Work with quality committee to implement improvements across business processes.
Provide visibility of operational performance to leadership.
THE SKILLS & EXPERIENCE YOU BRING TO THE TEAM:
Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, Data Analytics, or related field.
3-5 years of experience in business operations, process improvement, or data analysis roles.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret complex data and translate insights into actionable recommendations.
Proficiency with data analysis and reporting tools (e.g., Excel, Power BI, Tableau, or equivalent).
Demonstrated ability to design and track Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) for operational and project health.
Experience in automating reporting systems and streamlining data workflows.
Knowledge of quality management systems and certification processes (e.g., ISO, AS9100, or equivalent).
Strong organizational and project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills to provide clear visibility of performance to leadership.
Proven ability to collaborate across teams and lead cross-functional improvement initiatives.
Additional experience in the following areas is considered an asset:
Experience working in engineering services, manufacturing, or technology-driven environments.
Familiarity with Lean, Six Sigma, or other continuous improvement methodologies.
Prior involvement with quality committee participation or certification roadmap development.
Exposure to ERP systems or business intelligence platforms.

Our office is located in the heart of Spryfield, but more specifically, at 264 Herring Cove Road in Suite #100. If you know the Spryfield area - we are right across the street from Sobeys, close to the ever-increasing options for interesting lunches, and near to beautiful lakes, forests, and trails.
HOURS OF OPERATION:
Our office is open Monday - Friday between 9am - 5pm. Our corporate culture values work-life balance, allowing a flexible, 8 hour workday. Remote desk options are also available at locations within the regional Innovation Ecosystem, including Dalhousie ideaHUB, C.O.V.E., ThePIER, Ignite Labsabs).
