Salary: $100,000 - $135,000/Year

We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Business Manager to join our client\xe2\x80\x99s team. The ideal candidate will be accountable for leading product development and daily operations for underwriting services related to the Agribusiness.

Qualifications:

• Possession of a college diploma in business, agriculture, or a related field
• Minimum of 10 years of technical experience in the Property and Casualty (P&C) insurance industry, along with 3-5 years of managerial experience
• Currently holds or is in progress of earning CIP/FCIP/CRM designation or possesses an equivalent background in Property & Casualty (P&C) insurance
• Advanced knowledge gained through work or life experiences in agribusiness/farm risk assessment, rating, and procedures
• Essential attributes include proven technical skills, sound judgment, and effective decision-making abilities
• Acts as an exemplary role model, providing inspirational and motivational leadership for the entire business
• Projects a positive, enthusiastic, and compelling image as a representative of our team
• Demonstrates collaboration, integrity, and excellence in all endeavors
• Focuses on developing and nurturing exceptional relationships
• Exhibits the ability to navigate effectively and professionally in a dynamically changing business environment
• Demonstrates a strong capacity to influence and negotiate effectively with stakeholders Proficiency in MS Word and MS Excel is a requirement, and experience with Guidewire would be considered an asset

Responsibilities:

• Formulate and execute underwriting plans, processes, and procedures for agri-business, aligning them with the approved company strategic plan
• Lead a team of Subject Matter Expert (SME) underwriters and team leaders, influencing frontline decisions to establish optimal practices within the agribusiness department
• Implement the corporate strategic direction to maintain a profitable book of business and achieve growth objectives
• Provide leadership by offering direction, guidance, training, and technical advice to facilitate the development of underwriters, enabling them to reach their maximum performance potential
• Develop, implement, and supervise Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to meet business goals and service standards
• Communicate departmental objectives and inspire the team to surpass customer service standards
• Analyze data and provide recommendations on staffing levels, staff development, broker authority, underwriter authority levels, and workflow
• Foster and maintain robust broker relationships through a high degree of diplomacy and negotiation

Wage: $100,000 - $135,000/Year
