Job Description


Xplore is seeking an experienced Data & Reporting Analyst to help develop and evolve the reporting and business intelligence capabilities within the Network Program Office. Reporting to the Vice President of the Network Program Office, the Business Intelligence Reporting Analyst will work with an extended team across the Business to support and drive the development and implementation of our Network Program Executive Reporting function. With a focus on capturing and visualizing data to demonstrate progress against Key Performance metrics, the ideal candidate will possess strong technical skills with business intelligence (BI) applications, including Power BI and Excel, and a proven ability to organize and transform data into meaningful insights that drive decision-making, specifically tailored to an Executive and Board-level audience. This role requires expertise in data visualization and guided analytics, coupled with a solid understanding of Project Management methodologies, to help develop a best-in-class Network reporting function that will inform and optimize key business decisions across the organization.Key responsibilities include:

  • Create and maintain visually engaging dashboards, reports, and data visualizations using Power BI. Provide real-time insights into program management data, including program status, scope/schedule tracking, resource utilization/allocation, budget variance, and other critical metrics as defined by the Business.
  • Perform thorough data quality and validation checks to ensure the accuracy, consistency, and integrity of data used in BI reporting outputs.
  • Work closely with program and project managers, Senior Leadership and Executive teams to understand and translate reporting requirements into effective BI solutions that support informed decision-making.
  • Develop detailed documentation and user guides for all Business Intelligence solutions while providing training and support to end users to ensure effective utilization of BI reports and dashboards.
  • Conduct comprehensive analyses to uncover trends, patterns, and key performance indicators related to project management.
  • Work with cross-functional teams and business partners to understand business objectives and produce ad-hoc reporting solutions that add business value.
  • Gain a deep understanding of business drivers, definitions, and metrics, collect and analyze associated data and translate findings into relevant, timely action plans.
  • Drive continuous improvement in data quality control and accuracy across all processes and reports.
  • Develop data visualizations and dashboards to convey user-friendly, meaningful insights to Executive and Board level audiences.
  • Maintain expert knowledge of all main data sources for the data used within the Network Program Portfolio.
The ideal candidate will possess:
  • Bachelor\'s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Math or Statistics.
  • 3-5+ years of experience in a business intelligence or data science role, specifically as a Power BI developer and data engineer.
  • Proven track record developing dashboards and reports for Executive and Board level audiences using BI applications in an enterprise environment.
  • Solid understanding of Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), project financial reporting, and risk management principles.
  • Experience with data modelling techniques and best practices, particularly in the context of dashboard reporting, data visualization and project/program management practices.
  • Experience converting large amounts of multi-faceted data into meaningful reports.
  • Experience designing, developing and implementing a database to manage data analysis efforts.
  • Advanced MS Office user, with an emphasis on advanced Excel skills (look-up functions, VBA macros, complex logic statements, charts, pivot tables, etc.).
  • Strong project management (PM) skills with a deep understanding of PM methodologies.
  • Ability to clearly articulate data analyses and communicate effectively with all levels of the organization.
  • Excellent analytical skills with keen attention to detail.
