Reporting to the Senior Manager, Business Intelligence & Information Systems, the Business Intelligence Analyst will play a crucial role in transforming raw data into actionable insights that will guide our strategic decisions. The Business Intelligence Analyst will work closely with cross-functional teams to understand their data needs, design data solutions, and ensure data quality and integrity. The role will also be responsible for creating and maintaining reports, dashboards, and visualizations that provide valuable insights to drive Foundation business growth. Responsibilities include but are not limited to: Data Management:

  • Design and maintain Foundation databases to ensure data accuracy, reliability, and security
  • Develop and implement data governance policies and best practices
  • Assist the IT team optimizing data infrastructure and storage
Data Analysis and Reporting:
  • Conduct in-depth data analysis to extract meaningful insights
  • Create, update, and manage reports, dashboards, and visualizations using BI tools (e.g., Qlik Sense, Power BI)
  • Translate complex data into actionable recommendations for the business
Business Intelligence:
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to identify data requirements and develop data-driven solutions.
  • Proactively identify trends, patterns, and opportunities within the data
  • Support decision-making by providing timely and accurate business intelligence to all business units across foundation.
Data Integration:
  • Integrate data from various sources to create a unified, comprehensive dataset
  • Develop ETL processes to automate data extraction and transformation
  • Support the IT team with the development and maintenance of a data warehouse.
  • Documentation and Training: Create documentation for data processes, models, and reporting
  • Train team members on using data tools and interpreting insights.
Position requirements:
  • A successful completion of an undergraduate degree or diploma from an accredited educational institution in Computer Science, Business or a related field. Proven equivalent and recent related education, training and experience may be considered
  • 3 \xe2\x80\x93 5 years experience in data management, business intelligence, or data analysis. Experience in the charitable sector, preferably in healthcare fundraising, is preferred
  • Proficiency in data visualization tools such as Qlik, Power BI, or similar
  • Intermediate SQL skills for data querying and transformation
  • Knowledge of data modeling and ETL processes
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively in cross-functional teams
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Experience with Blackbaud CRM systems (Raiser\xe2\x80\x99s Edge, Financial Edge, Luminate Online) would be an asset
  • Experience with Python, R or other programming languages and knowledge of data warehousing and cloud-based data solutions would be an asset
