We are seeking a strategic, relationship-focused, and results-driven Business Development Representative to lead engagement with employers, industry partners, and potential clients. This role is critical to driving employer partnerships, securing program placements, and expanding Prepr's reach by proactively generating new leads and nurturing them into meaningful relationships.

The right candidate will bring a combination of sales development expertise, partnership management, and a passion for workforce development. They will leverage their skills to open doors with employers, uncover opportunities to align Prepr's offerings with industry needs, and contribute to the successful transition of learners into the workforce.

What You'll Be Doing:



1. Sales Development & Lead Generation

Prospecting & Outreach: Identify, research, and engage potential employer partners and clients through outbound calls, emails, and campaigns. Pipeline Management: Build and maintain a robust pipeline of leads using CRM tools, ensuring timely follow-ups and progress tracking. Customized Pitches: Develop tailored value propositions and presentations that align Prepr's programs with employer needs and priorities. Collaboration: Partner with marketing teams to support outreach campaigns and events that increase Prepr's visibility and engagement.

2. Partnership Development & Relationship Management

Establish Relationships: Build long-term partnerships with employers, industry associations, and other stakeholders to secure internships, placements, and job-shadowing opportunities for learners. Employer Engagement: Lead workshops, presentations, and information sessions to showcase Prepr's programs and participants. Strategic Account Management: Serve as the primary point of contact for partners, ensuring their needs align with Prepr's objectives.

3. Program Alignment & Employer Engagement

Workforce Insights: Consult with employers to understand workforce trends and skills gaps, using these insights to inform Prepr's curriculum development. Participant Matching: Collaborate with the training team to match participants with opportunities that align with employer requirements and learner goals.

4. Data & Reporting on Outcomes

Metrics Framework: Develop systems to track key outcomes, including placement rates, employer satisfaction, and engagement. Reporting: Prepare quarterly and annual reports on partnership and sales outcomes, identifying areas for growth and improvement. Continuous Improvement: Analyze data to enhance program alignment with employer needs and drive successful placements.

Bonus Points If You:



Have a Bachelor's degree in Business, or a related field. Are familiar or have experience with the AGILE methodology Are proficient in data analysis tools (e.g., Excel, Google Sheets) and have experience with LMS and CRM systems. Familiarity with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau) is an advantage. Have worked in a scaling start-up or a growing small-business environment

What Success Looks Like:



First 30 Days - Foundation & Relationship Mapping

Fully onboarded into Prepr's mission, programs, and partnership model. Gain in-depth knowledge of Prepr's workforce development initiatives and learner profiles. Familiarize yourself with Prepr's CRM (Salesforce), Outreach, and Apollo workflows. Review current and past employer partnerships to understand the ecosystem and key sectors of engagement. Begin light prospecting, identifying and researching high-potential employer leads. Participate in introductory calls with the Growth and Delivery teams to understand how partnerships connect to training and placements. Establish personal outreach targets (100 calls per day, 500 calls per week) and understand the BDR's contribution to overall sales and placement goals.

90 Days - Engagement & Pipeline Growth

Actively manage a healthy pipeline of qualified employer prospects, with regular follow-ups and progress tracking in CRM. Develop and deliver tailored pitches or proposals aligned with employer needs and Prepr's value proposition. Secure initial partnership conversations or pilot engagements with employers in key target sectors. Support or lead at least one virtual or in-person employer engagement event, presentation, or info session. Collaborate with the marketing team to refine outreach campaigns that generate new business and partnership leads. Begin contributing to workforce insights by identifying employer trends, skill needs, and partnership opportunities. Provide accurate reporting on outreach metrics, conversion rates, and early-stage relationship outcomes.

6 Months - Partnership Growth & Strategic Impact

Demonstrate measurable progress in partnership acquisition Build and manage long-term relationships with employer partners, ensuring alignment between their needs and Prepr's program offerings. Serve as a trusted advisor to employers, leveraging insights to influence program alignment and curriculum updates. Lead employer presentations, co-branded events, or strategic initiatives that elevate Prepr's industry visibility. Collaborate with internal teams to match learners to employer opportunities, improving placement outcomes and satisfaction rates. Deliver comprehensive quarterly partnership performance reports with recommendations for continuous improvement. Be recognized as a key driver of employer engagement strategy and a subject-matter expert in workforce partnerships within Prepr.
