Job Summary

The Business Development Representative (BDR) will work closely with the Hudson Technology team to identify, pursue, and close new client opportunities across small to mid-sized businesses in Ontario. This role is focused on outbound sales -- researching prospects, initiating contact, leading discovery conversations, and managing the deal cycle through to close. The BDR will not handle inbound leads or existing accounts but will instead focus on net-new business development. A strong understanding of the Managed Service Provider space and the ability to communicate technical value to non-technical stakeholders will be key to success.

Essential Job Functions

Proactively identify and research potential clients across target verticals. Initiate outbound calls, emails, and LinkedIn outreach to set discovery meetings. Lead early-stage sales conversations and qualify prospects. Coordinate with technical and leadership teams to build tailored proposals. Present solutions to prospects, address objections, and drive toward signed agreements. Maintain accurate records in the CRM, track pipeline activity, and report progress regularly. Attend weekly sales meetings to review goals, deal progression, and outreach performance. Stay current on Hudson's service offerings, including IT support, cybersecurity, cloud solutions, and compliance services. Represent Hudson with professionalism, confidence, and clarity in all interactions.
Required Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities

University or college degree is required (Business, Marketing, or related field preferred). Minimum 2 years in a B2B sales role, ideally selling IT, SaaS, or professional services. Experience with a Managed Service Provider (MSP) is a strong asset. Strong communication skills across phone, email, and presentations. Ability to quickly understand business needs and articulate service value. Familiarity with CRM tools and sales reporting best practices. Confidence in reaching out to new contacts and leading conversations from first touch to close.
Working Conditions

5 days/week in the Hudson office. 8-hour workday with continuous computer use and phone communication. Occasional travel within the GTA for client meetings. Some work may be required outside of regular business hours based on opportunity schedules.
Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $75,000.00-$95,000.00 per year
