About the Role
We're looking for a driven and personable
Business Development Representative (BDR)
to help expand our client base and grow our presence in key markets. You'll play a critical role in identifying new business opportunities, engaging with decision-makers, and nurturing early-stage relationships with potential clients.
This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, consultative environment and is excited by the opportunity to work directly with founders, executives, and hiring managers.
Responsibilities
Proactively research and identify new business opportunities in target industries (e.g., tech, professional services, clean energy, etc.)
Generate leads through outbound prospecting (email, LinkedIn, cold calls, referrals)
Qualify and engage prospects to understand their hiring needs and challenges
Set up introductory meetings for senior team members or manage early sales conversations independently
Build and maintain a pipeline of prospective clients in HubSpot (or similar CRM)
Collaborate with recruiters and account managers to align outreach with market demand
Provide input on sales strategy, campaign ideas, and value propositions
Represent the Talent Advantage brand with professionalism, credibility, and a people-first approach
Requirements
1-3 years of experience in business development, sales, or lead generation (preferably B2B or agency side)
Excellent communication skills (verbal and written)
Confident and comfortable initiating conversations with senior decision-makers
Highly organized with strong follow-up and time management skills
Familiarity with CRMs, LinkedIn Sales Navigator, and email automation tools
Interest in recruiting, HR tech, or the startup ecosystem is a strong asset
Self-motivated, coachable, and eager to grow within the company
