We are looking for a highly motivated and results-driven Business Development Representative (BDR) to join our growing sales team and help drive new business opportunities.
As a Business Development Representative (BDR), you will play a crucial role in generating new business opportunities for our Solar Specialist Sales Team. You will identify, qualify, and nurture leads to ensure a seamless transition to the sales process. This is an exciting opportunity for someone passionate about renewable energy, business development, and the opportunity to make a meaningful impact in the clean energy sector.
Key Responsibilities:Lead Generation & Prospecting: Leverage inbound marketing, outbound prospecting (LinkedIn, cold emailing, calls), social media, and networking to identify potential leads across Canada.
Cold Outreach: Initiate contact with potential leads via emails, calls, and social media messages to spark initial interest and start the conversation.
Lead Qualification: Qualify leads based on predefined criteria such as energy consumption, budget, decision-making authority, and timeline to ensure they are a good fit for our services.
Booking Meetings: Once a lead is qualified, schedule a meeting with one of our Solar Specialists, who will continue the sales process and close the deal.
Industry-Based Segmentation: Categorize and focus on leads from specific industries (e.g., healthcare, finance, technology) to maximize impact and efficiency.
Nurturing Relationships: For leads that aren't immediately ready to buy, you'll nurture ongoing relationships, providing relevant updates and information until they are ready to engage in a sales conversation.
Skills & Experience:Previous experience in business development, sales, or lead generation (preferred, but not required).
Strong communication skills, with the ability to engage and influence potential clients via phone, email, and social media.
Self-starter with the ability to work independently in a remote setting.
Comfort with cold calling and outreach, with a proven ability to handle rejection professionally.
A passion for renewable energy and the solar industry is a plus.
Proficiency in CRM tools (Salesforce, HubSpot, etc.) and LinkedIn Sales Navigator.
What We Offer:Competitive base salary of $40,000 plus commission per closed deal.
