Double Z Pallets supplies high-quality recycled pallets to businesses that need reliability, consistency, and fast delivery. We're growing our sales approach and looking for a driven appointment setter to help generate new qualified opportunities.
Role Overview
You will be responsible for
booking qualified sales appointments
with businesses that use 48x40 pallets -- especially manufacturers, warehouses, distribution centres, and companies handling bagged products. You'll use
cold calls, cold emails, and your own prospecting strategies
to consistently bring in new leads.
This role is perfect for someone who loves sales outreach, follows a process, and knows how to get conversations started with the right people.
Key ResponsibilitiesLead Generation
Conduct
cold calling
to businesses in Alberta using provided scripts (plus your own improvements).
Send
cold email outreach campaigns
using your own system or ours.
Build and maintain your own list of potential companies that purchase pallets.
Use tools, directories, LinkedIn, Google, and your own strategies to find new leads.
Appointment Setting
Book
qualified appointments
for the owner/sales closer.
Ensure each appointment meets qualification criteria (e.g., volume, frequency, location, decision-maker involved).
Follow up with warm and lukewarm leads to move them toward booking.
CRM & Reporting
Log all outreach, conversations, and next steps in our CRM.
Track daily activity (calls, emails, appointments set).
Provide weekly reports on progress, challenges, and wins.
Collaboration
Work closely with the owner to refine messaging, sales angles, and targeting.
Suggest improvements to outreach strategies and help shape the sales process.
Qualifications
Experience in
cold calling
, appointment setting, or outbound sales (required).
Comfortable making 50-100+ cold calls per day.
Strong written communication -- able to send cold emails that get replies.
Ability to independently generate new lead lists and find companies that buy pallets.
Thick-skinned, persistent, and motivated by commission.
Organized, reliable, and able to follow processes while adding your own ideas.
Experience in B2B, logistics, manufacturing, or industrial sales is an asset (not required).
Performance Metrics
The right candidate will hit measurable targets such as:
Number of outbound calls completed
Number of outbound emails sent
Number of qualified appointments booked
Percentage of appointments that convert
