Job Overview


We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Business Development Manager to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for driving growth by identifying new business opportunities, building relationships with clients, and developing strategic partnerships. The ideal candidate will possess strong negotiation skills and a deep understanding of market trends to effectively position our offerings and enhance customer satisfaction.

Duties



Identify and engage with potential B2B clients, especially mid-size corporations and HR departments in urban and suburban regions. Promote Playpal's corporate membership plans, emphasizing the benefits of team-building activities and employee wellness solutions. Execute local marketing initiatives, including leaflet distribution, networking events, and outreach at parks, gyms, malls, and other high-traffic locations. Build strong relationships with recreational facilities, event organizers, and sports venues to onboard them onto the Playpal platform. Negotiate agreements for platform usage, exclusive promotions, and sponsored events with partners. Collaborate with the marketing team to roll out targeted campaigns in cities like Toronto, Vancouver, Calgary, Montreal, and Ottawa. Analyze local market trends and user behavior to adapt acquisition strategies for each region. Support onboarding processes for both individual users and corporate clients, offering training and assistance when needed. Coordinate with internal teams to ensure a seamless and positive customer experience, and address user issues or feedback effectively. Maintain accurate CRM records and track key performance indicators (KPIs) such as user acquisition, partner sign-ups, and conversion rates. Present performance reports and strategic insights to the executive team during regular review meetings. Identify partnership opportunities with health & wellness brands or apps to explore co-promotions or bundled offerings for added user value.

Requirements



Proven experience in business development or sales, preferably in a relevant industry. Strong knowledge of customer relationship management practices. Proficiency in Salesforce or similar CRM software is highly desirable. Excellent negotiation skills with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels. Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively. Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written, with a focus on building rapport with clients. A proactive approach to problem-solving and a keen eye for identifying opportunities for growth. A bachelor's degree in business administration, marketing, or a related field is preferred but not mandatory.

Pay: $35.00 per hour
