The Opportunity



We are seeking a

results-driven Business Development Manager - Private Mortgages

to expand mortgage originations through licensed mortgage brokers and agents. This role is primarily focused on Ontario.

In this high-impact position, you will:

Spend

3 days per week

in the field meeting brokers, building relationships, and attending industry events. Work

2 days per week

from our Toronto office, collaborating with leadership and coordinating with underwriting and credit teams.
We offer a competitive compensation package, including base salary, commission, and full reimbursement for business travel.

Key Responsibilities



Broker Relationship Management

- Build, nurture, and expand relationships with brokers, brokerages, and agents to increase mortgage application volume.

Market Development

- Identify, engage, and onboard new broker partners, with Ontario as the top growth priority.

Product Promotion

- Deliver compelling presentations and training sessions on Indigoblue's private mortgage offerings.

Strategic Collaboration

- Partner with senior leadership to set quarterly/annual sales targets and identify new market opportunities.

Market Intelligence

- Track competitor products, market trends, and regulatory developments, providing insights to refine product and pricing strategies.

Cross-Functional Coordination

- Work with marketing, underwriting, and credit teams to ensure efficient processes and timely deal execution.

Pipeline & Forecasting

- Maintain accurate CRM records, tracking leads, forecasts, and closed deals.

Brand Ambassador

- Represent Indigoblue at conferences, tradeshows, and networking events to enhance visibility and reputation.

Qualifications



Experience

- 2-3 years in mortgage sales, private/alternative lending, or financial services.

Sales Record

- Demonstrated success in consistently meeting or exceeding targets.

Network

- Established relationships with Ontario mortgage professionals strongly preferred.

Communication

- Exceptional negotiation, presentation, and relationship-building skills.

Analytical Skills

- Familiarity with underwriting basics and risk assessment.

Organization

- Strong time management, able to juggle multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Tech Proficiency

- Comfortable with Microsoft Office, CRM platforms, and underwriting tools.

Travel Flexibility

- Willingness to travel extensively within Ontario. Mileage reimbursement provided.
