Business Development Manager

The

Business Development Manager

is responsible for the generation of new business opportunities by securing on-site support service contracts in our existing market fields, as well as potentially branching out into new, untapped ones. This will be made possible by the creation of compelling and strategic proposals, presentations and multiple client entry strategies. This is an independent contributor role.

Business Development Manager

, we'd ask you to do the following for us:

Lead generation and prospecting - sourcing new business opportunities and contracts within the industrial, commercial and health care markets, which includes: Long Term Care and Retirement, factories, condominiums, and additional retail clients

Relationship Management - multiple level contacts within organizations; manages internal relationships required to ensure that agreements and initiatives are developed fully; understanding the client's criteria, articulating this internally to our Operations teams; lead or develop service solutions and promote the Company's service value proposition to differentiate Compass from competitors and provide increased value to customers

Strategic Planning - forming compelling strategies for client contract, relationship management, bidding and winning, assists in long-term strategic planning, opportunity tiering and budgeting

Database Management - maintaining accurate records of all client contract and details

Pipeline Management - demonstrated experience managing and accurately forecasting the pipeline

Time Management - ability to multi-task, create a sense of urgency and work within tight deadlines

Event Management - support and plan client events i.e. site tours and participation at events

Negotiation - ability to negotiate contract execution with clients. Develops proposals, delivers presentations and gains consensus on terms of contracts; bundle service offerings that effectively convey the Company's capabilities

Project Management - ability to lead/liaise with project team towards successful submission of proposal

Business Development Manager

? Here's how we'll know you'll be successful in the role:

Business Development expertise in senior living, healthcare, or commercial cleaning selling services is strongly preferred

5+ years' experience in an active 'hunter' sales role with no limits on commissions; financially motivated to drive results

Must be willing to adopt/further develop proven sales models with S&I (i.e. leverage your sales acumen while being open and committed to learning a new go to market sales approach).

Superior relationship management and ability to inspire customers and establish contacts and credibility with senior level management buyers

High degree of resiliency and very entrepreneurial in approach

Must have demonstrated experience delivering sales success results

Hands-on Sales Professional; sales process focused, relationship builder both internally and externally

Strong business acumen and expert negotiation skills

Experience developing financial projections to support complex, long term contracts

Strong communication, problem solving and negotiation skills

Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a team on major projects

Ability to travel 50%

Strong computer skills, to develop sales tools, presentations, and the ability to operate basic business programs
