Position Summary:
We are seeking an outgoing, motivated, and results-driven Business Development Manager to play a pivotal role in growing our client base within the Greater Toronto Area. This position requires an entrepreneurial mindset, proven sales expertise, and a keen ability to understand and engage with small business owners and entrepreneurs. The ideal candidate will independently drive business growth through consultative selling, building strong client relationships, and delivering clear value through our suite of services.
Key Responsibilities:
Proactively identify and engage prospective clients, assessing their operational challenges and needs.
Build and nurture meaningful relationships with entrepreneurs and small business owners.
Use a consultative approach to sales, presenting tailored solutions without pushy or aggressive sales tactics.
Independently generate and manage leads, and cultivate a robust sales pipeline.
Collaborate with the CEO in developing strategic marketing materials, sales presentations, and other collateral.
Maintain accurate and detailed records of all interactions using Zoho CRM and other sales prospecting tools.
Achieve and exceed established performance metrics based on revenue generation and client retention.
Regularly report to the CEO, providing strategic insights, progress updates, and recommendations for continuous improvement.
Qualifications & Skills:
Demonstrated experience and success in sales or business development, ideally within consulting or professional services.
Solid understanding of business operations, human resources, and financial management practices to effectively engage clients.
Experience working with small businesses and a strong appreciation for the entrepreneurial mindset.
Proficiency in Zoho CRM and familiarity with various marketing and prospecting software.
Strong interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills.
Highly organized with the ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks effectively.
Valid driver's license and reliable vehicle required for local travel to client sites and occasional office meetings.
