Position Overview:
The Business Development Manager will play a vital role in identifying federal contracting opportunities and supporting strategic capture and proposal development activities. This dual-function role blends analytical rigor with administrative coordination and writing support to ensure our pipeline of government opportunities remains active, accurate, and aligned with our growth priorities.
You will leverage market intelligence tools to identify and assess opportunities and partner with capture and proposal teams to maintain
accurate records and deliver high-quality responses to Requests for Information (RFIs), Sources Sought Notices, and other pre-proposal inquiries. This role directly supports Atreides' goals to expand its footprint as both a prime and subcontractor in the federal space.

Responsibilities
Opportunity Identification & Market Intelligence
Monitor procurement channels for federal opportunities
Track and analyze RFIs, Sources Sought Notices, RFPs, RFQs, and contract recompetes
Identify strategic teaming opportunities and expiring contracts relevant to company capabilities
Provide research summaries on agencies, contract vehicles, competitors, and award trends
CRM and Pipeline Management
Maintain and update CRM with accurate opportunity records across lifecycle stages
Coordinate with internal teams to ensure opportunity deadlines, milestones, and next steps are tracked and acted upon
Generate reports to support BD team reviews and meetings
Capture & Proposal Support
Develop internal opportunity summaries and agency profiles
Assist in drafting and coordinating RFIs and Sources Sought responses, incorporating boilerplate and tailored content
Maintain a centralized library of past performance, market research, and proposal-related artifacts
Support proposal development efforts including editing, formatting, and compliance checks
Team Collaboration
Work closely with the business development team to support teaming, strategy, and compliance
Participate in internal calls, document management, and external partner coordination
Research and draft materials showcasing company capabilities, experience, and differentiators
Required Qualifications:
4+ years of experience in federal business development, capture, or government contracting research
Familiarity with federal acquisition processes and government procurement cycles
Proficiency with at least three of the following: SAM.gov, GSA eBuy, GovWin, HigherGov, HubSpot, FPDS, USAspending.gov, DACIS, and Canadian equivalents
Strong organizational and communication skills with a high attention to detail
Ability to synthesize data into executive-level briefs and actionable insights
Above-average editing and writing ability; able to produce well-organized, compliant responses to government RFIs
Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience in a proposal coordinator or business development analyst role within the tech or defense contracting industry
Ability to independently manage schedules and deadlines in a fast-paced environment
Familiarity with government contracting certifications, licenses, and registration processes
