The Business Development Manager, Accountants Segment role at Sage is an exciting opportunity for professionals experienced in driving business growth through partner relationships. This role involves working with leading accounting practices to position Sage for Accountants and the Sage Managed Services Partner program, with a strong focus on promoting Sage Intacct as a best-in-class mid-market financial accounting solution. The successful candidate will help firms build or expand their outsourced accounting practices by supporting clients who are outgrowing their current systems. They will manage the full partner journey, ensuring a high-quality experience and measurable value for each firm. This strategic, quota-carrying position focuses on new business development, deepening product adoption, and executing growth plans across an assigned portfolio. The ideal candidate brings an entrepreneurial mindset and a passion for building lasting relationships while helping firms leverage cloud technology to achieve their goals.




This is a hybrid office role that meets 3 days a week


Key Responsibilities

- Conduct detailed business discoveries to understand the inner workings of practice and be able to connect the dots and tell a story of how Sage Intacct for Accountants and the Sage Managed Services Partner program will add value to individual practices.


- Build out business plans for accounting practices that you recruit or that already work with Sage and execute the strategy to help these practices implement and scale with Sage for their clients.


- Become an expert at demonstrating multiple Sage products that align with the benefits accounting practices expect to realize.


- Conduct product or thought leadership webinars and support creating new content pieces (i.e., blogs or how-to guides) and take an out-of-the-box approach to developing a personal brand for yourself to become a trusted advisor for accounting practices.


- Being extremely disciplined with organization and execution, from how you interact and respond to practices to project managing implementations to maintain documentation of processes, activities in Salesforce, and more.




Skills and experience:




- 4+ years of experience helping businesses improve efficiencies with technology.


- Steady record of achieving commercial growth goals in previous roles.


- Display a strong understanding of full-cycle accounting, fintech, and cloud technology.


- Proven record of accomplishment of high performance through ownership and resourcefulness.


- Ability to travel up to 20%.
