As our business is growing rapidly, we need an additional Business Development Associate to service our Karcher/sweeper scrubber lines . Travel to various cities will be required.

Summary



The ideal Business Development Associate is ambitious, competitive and hungry who thrives in a fast-paced environment.

The Business Development Associate will be responsible for proactively generating new business opportunities and developing relationships with new and existing clients, nurturing early-stage sales leads and supporting overall sales growth.

This role focuses on working with Karcher Professional and Karcher Municipal partners to sell high-performance indoor and outdoor cleaning equipment products and services to commercial, industrial and municipal business prospects. The role primarily engages customers through face-to-face meetings and is accountable for achieving assigned annual sales targets. To excel in this role, you should be an active listener, have a compelling sales personality, and a hunger to chase and close new business from cold calls and inbound warm leads.

Job Duties (including but not limited to):



Identify, research and pursue prospective customers in target industries to generate new business through cold calls, lead generation, and in-person meetings. (commercial, industrial and municipal business prospects). Convert prospects into sales for equipment, service, rentals, operator training, aftermarket parts and more, expanding the customer base and driving growth. Develop a strong sales pipeline with probabilities based on customer journey. Conduct site assessments, onboarding of new customers with the inside team for success. Learn the benefits, features and how to sell, operate and complete equipment demonstrations with Karcher representatives Develop a consultant-oriented approach with customers Proactively bundle, cross-sell and up-sell additional products and services to existing clients to maximize revenue and strengthen customer relationships Maintain consistent and proactive communication with customers. Log calls, follow up regularly, and ensure all concerns are addressed promptly to build long-lasting relationships. Meet and exceed revenue targets within your territory. Track and manage performance metrics to ensure goals are met and exceeded. Provide comprehensive equipment orientation training for new equipment deliveries, ensuring customers are familiar with equipment features and usage. Track and manage sales opportunities, account performance, and required data for equipment and service. Maintain an organized dashboard to monitor progress and meet minimum targets. Maintain regular customer ratings and manage feedback within the territory to optimize accounts and enhance overall satisfaction. Attend industry events, conferences, and meetings to stay updated on trends, build relationships, and expand the network for business growth. Become a Subject Matter Expert in high-performance cleaning equipment. Stay informed on market/industry trends, customer needs, and economic conditions to identify and capitalize on new business opportunities within the territory. Complete all required training (ie, HR, health and safety, job specific, practical etc). Comply with all health & safety requirements. Work in compliance with the provisions of the OHSA, regulations, internal programs, policies and procedures on company and customer sites. Other related duties as assigned

Key Competencies:



Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience in related field 5+ years experience in sales Hunter mentality with a driven, self-motivated approach. Able to work collaboratively with sales reps, marketing, and operations. Problem-solving mindset with the ability to uncover customer pain points. High energy, professional presence, and a strong sense of urgency. Organized and able to manage multiple leads and follow-up cycles Demonstrated achievement in B2B sales, comfortable making high volume outbound calls and handling rejection positively Experience with CRM/Salesforce an asset Strong communication and relationship-building skills. Interest of experience in cleaning equipment an asset. Experience in working with government or municipal procurement is an asset Proven track record in sales, customer service, and territory management. Ability to analyze customer needs and deliver tailored solutions. Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including facilitation of group presentations Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Access and industry-specific analysis software Innovation and problem-solving skills that include the ability to develop and propose equipment-based solutions for clients High attention to detail Proactive qualities with the willingness to learn. Ability to work with minimal supervision. Must comply with OHSA and company safety policies. Valid Ontario driver's license

Pay: $55,000.00-$65,000.00 per year
