Job Summary

Proxima Lighting Solutions Ltd. is seeking a Business Development Associate to join our growing team.

This full-time, in-person role is central to driving new business opportunities, building professional relationships within the architecture and interior design industries, and enhancing Proxima Lighting's brand presence across both digital and physical channels.

The ideal candidate is a proactive communicator with strong marketing, organizational, and relationship-building skills -- capable of engaging with design professionals, identifying opportunities, and representing Proxima Lighting at industry events and client meetings.

Responsibilities

Conduct outreach to architectural and interior design firms through email, phone calls, and in-person meetings to establish connections, explore collaboration opportunities, and promote the company's lighting design services. Manage and maintain customer databases and CRM systems, ensuring all contact and engagement records are accurate and up to date. Develop and manage the company's digital marketing presence across platforms such as Instagram, LinkedIn, Facebook, YouTube, and email newsletters, creating and posting tailored content that aligns with each platform's strengths to enhance brand awareness. Facilitate online conversations with clients and followers, promptly responding to inquiries and maintaining a professional and engaging online presence. Assist in the creation and preparation of marketing materials, including brochures, flyers, presentations, and product descriptions, to support promotional and sales initiatives. Organize, coordinate, and participate in marketing and networking events, such as presentations, lunch & learn sessions, product launches, trade shows, and industry conventions to represent the company and showcase its expertise. Support various operational processes, including supply chain management, vendor coordination, and customer service, to ensure smooth business operations and client satisfaction. Collaborate with project teams to assist in lighting design-related tasks, such as preparing layouts, calculating fixture quantities, and developing quotations and specifications. Provide additional administrative and project support as required to ensure departmental efficiency and contribute to overall business development goals.

Skills

Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to engage effectively with diverse audiences. Strong analytical skills to assess market trends and client needs. Proven track record in sales or business development, preferably within a related industry. Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment. Proficiency in using CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite. Strong negotiation skills with a focus on achieving win-win outcomes. A self-starter attitude with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
