Job Description

The YMCA of Southern Interior BC has been serving the Okanagan community for over 35 years, providing services in Health, Fitness & Aquatics, Child Care, Employment & Community services to over 50,000 participants annually. With an annual operating budget of over $15M and a staff of over 300.


Role Overview:





Reporting to the General Manager, the Business Coordinator, Strategic Reporting will review membership and program software systems to report on membership sales and demographics, program registrations, membership pricing models, financial assistance and service standards. This role involves collecting and interpreting data to present solutions to sales and program teams, ensuring informed decisions based on real-time data. With leadership from the Systems Administrator, this role will support front line teams in system functions, systems troubleshooting, general training and overall system improvements.

With guidance from the General Manager and VP, this position will support the creation of strategic plans, business information updates, and yearlong acquisition plans. Working in collaboration with the Business Coordinator, Systems Administrator to ensure our systems processes and procedures are consistent, effective, and best serve our members.


Responsibilities:




Share the Association's vision for growth and exceptional customer experiences. Build cooperative working relationships and promote teamwork. Gain and maintain a strong understanding of systems and how the front line staff use those systems. Oversee daily membership growth goals, support and recommend acquisition plans, and reengage members at risk of canceling. Provide clear analytics to leadership teams to inform decisions on programs, promotions, information support and membership. Work with the Systems Administrator to support system improvements and quality control in our CRM system Avocado. Support Membership and Program teams with training, reporting and general inquiries. Oversee and support the financial assistance program to ensure consistency across centres. Advocate for data-driven decisions and fiscal responsibility. Lead and role model the YMCA's commitment to volunteerism.



Qualifications and Experience:




Experience in program planning & evaluation, data analytics and reporting, team collaboration and financial management 1-3 years of experience in a relevant industry such as data management, systems management, customer care centres or sports and recreation with exceptional interpersonal skills, including excellent written communication and presentation skills. Post-secondary education in business or a related field and a demonstrated ongoing commitment to professional development an asset Good judgment and sound decision-making in resolving complex issues with well-developed conflict resolution skills. Required to manage a flexible full-time schedule to ensure overall department management and support of the department operations. Experience in systems such as Avocado, SalesForce, MindBody and UKG a strong asset
