RFP

to engage a

Business Continuity Management (BCM) Consultant

. This initiative aims to enhance

Business Continuity Management System (BCMS)

, ensuring operational resilience and readiness in the face of disruptions.

The client administers

12 pension plans and 23 benefit plans

, serving

900+ employers and 100,000+ members

. As a trusted pension administration leader, the organization requires a

strong risk management strategy

to maintain uninterrupted services.

Project Scope & Objectives



The

selected team

will be responsible for advancing

BCMS program

by:

Reviewing existing

Business Continuity Plan (BCP), Crisis Management Plan (CMP), and Crisis Communication Plan (CCP)

. Identifying

gaps, risks, and areas for improvement

to enhance preparedness.
Providing

actionable recommendations

and a roadmap for BCMS maturity.

Facilitating an

annual Tabletop Exercise (TTX)

to test management's response strategies. Delivering

detailed reports, observations, and recommendations

based on the TTX findings.
This is a

where selected professionals will contribute to strengthening the organization's resilience against operational risks and crises.

Business Continuity Management Consultant





We are seeking an experienced

Business Continuity Management (BCM) Consultant

to support the review, enhancement, and execution of a robust

Business Continuity Management System (BCMS)

. The consultant will be responsible for assessing existing business continuity plans, identifying gaps, and facilitating crisis management exercises.

Key Responsibilities



Conduct a

thorough review of the current Business Continuity Plan (BCP), Crisis Management Plan (CMP), and Crisis Communication Plan (CCP)

. Identify

risks, vulnerabilities, and areas for improvement

in business continuity processes. Develop an

actionable roadmap for program maturation

, aligned with industry best practices (e.g.,

ISO 22301

). Facilitate

annual Tabletop Exercises (TTX)

to assess organizational preparedness and response capabilities. Prepare detailed

reports and recommendations

for leadership based on findings from the BCMS assessment and TTX exercises. Provide

strategic guidance on resilience planning and risk mitigation

. Collaborate with key stakeholders, including senior management and risk teams.

Required Qualifications & Skills



Bachelor's or Master's degree in

Business Continuity, Risk Management, Emergency Management, or related field

.

5+ years of experience

in business continuity planning, disaster recovery, or risk management. Proven expertise in

facilitating TTX exercises and crisis management planning

. Strong understanding of

ISO 22301

, NFPA 1600, and best practices in

BCM frameworks

. Ability to work

independently and collaboratively with cross-functional teams

. Excellent

analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills

.

Certification(s)

such as

CBCP, MBCI, or ISO 22301 Lead Auditor/Implementer

is preferred.

will likely be the

most active roles throughout the contract

Expect hybrid work:

Some in-person meetings, mainly remote.

for in-person activities.

Duration:

3 years + potential 3-year extension
