Within the Customer Technology Excellence (CTE) business unit, the Strategy, Enablement & Investment Management team leads the strategic planning, program alignment, and investment governance across the organization. The Operations Capital Management team leads the strategic governance and management of investments to deliver targeted outcomes and maximize returns for our customers.

As a Business Consultant, you will be focused on evolving our capital management effectiveness by delivering data analytics capabilities built upon unified scalable platforms and high-quality data. Working with stakeholders across the Operations Capital team & SE&I to identify, assess and build automation tools, data management capabilities and visual dashboards to support analysis of capital performance measurements and executive decision-making.
You recognize the value of helping team members by playing a key role in executing and expanding our data insights through your communications knowledge and creativity, ability to translate requests for insights into meaningful reports and presentations, and leveraging your masterful understanding of database management (SQL), programming and automation.
You will have the opportunity to further your data management capabilities, take ownership of process improvements and enhance your presentation skills while learning about new areas of the business. As programs span across the organization, you will be partnering with a diverse group of leaders and stakeholders where our success will require meticulous attention to detail and continuous evolution of our ability to deliver analysis and insights to shape the direction of our capital spend.
This role will report to the Manager - Program Office where you\xe2\x80\x99ll be part of a small and mighty team striving to make a significant difference across the organization!
Here\xe2\x80\x99s how
  • Collaborate closely with the Capital Management team and key stakeholders to create & maintain data architecture and data management standards
  • Develop and implement standards and processes for ensuring data quality
  • Create roadmaps and implementation plans for data management and automation tools to meet business needs
  • Design and write code and scripts to take solutions from concept to production
  • Manipulate and transform data pipelines to provide unified views across the organization
  • Support the management of key performance indicators and insights through the development of capital dashboards, enhanced reporting, and presentations for leadership, including executive level
  • Develop and evolve project and financial performance reporting to support monthly, quarterly, and annual budgeting and forecasting processes
  • Engage and coordinate with our data management teams to problem solve, drive consensus, and translate ideas into actionable steps that enhance our ability to develop insights, provide analysis, and drive actions with key stakeholders
  • Leverage key contacts, relationships and expertise to assess best practices to continuously refine capital governance processes, reporting and insights



Qualifications



What YOU Bring:
  • Proficiency with software development and the ability to write automated test suites using Python or your preferred language
  • You have development experience building and integrating with SQL data stores using languages such as PHP, Java or Node.js
  • Expertise in data management, with a focus on details & accuracy and the ability to take massive amounts of data and develop consolidated views for analysis and comparisons for executive-level storytelling and decision making
  • Deep experience in developing capital and performance-based dashboards (Tableau, Domo, Google DataStudio) that will be used by all project teams and leadership up to executive level
  • Expertise in MS Office (Excel) and G Suite (Sheets & Slides) productivity tools including Excel macros, PivotTables and PowerQuery
  • Experience collaborating and negotiating through cross-functional teams or complex organizational dynamics to create alignment on goals, performance metrics and financial understanding
  • Exceptional with communicating, including compelling storytelling and high-quality presentations for executive audiences
  • Leverage agile thinking and ways of working to be flexible and adaptable
  • Demonstrate a \xe2\x80\x9ccan-do\xe2\x80\x9d attitude that fosters a positive productive working environment and a natural curiosity and affinity for self-directed technology learning
  • Work effectively as part of a team and independently to meet agreed-upon deadlines with the ability to manage multiple projects/tasks
  • Bachelor\'s degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related field and/or relevant experience

Great-to-haves
  • Experience with GCP BigQuery and Data pipelines
  • Experience with project management or procurement processes
  • 5-7 years of experience working in the telecommunications industry or equivalent technology background
  • Master\xe2\x80\x99s degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related field
  • Program and/or Project Management certification and experience
  • SAP / financial reporting systems
