Do you have experience writing requirements and user stories, decomposing a process into discrete parts? Come join the Guidewire Business Technology team and help us design and deliver useful digital experiences for our customers. The Business Technology organization is responsible for internal and external applications throughout Guidewire. We are looking for an analytical and creative Business Analyst who can help synthesize business needs and create artifacts (research, requirements, models) as input to digital product design and engineering.

This job requires you to live in the province of Saskatchewan. \

In this role you will be:

  • Interview stakeholders using consistent and structured methodologies and documenting with simple and clear artifacts
  • Establish professional relationships with cross functional team members
  • Communicate clearly verbally and in writing
  • Develop summary documents and presentations
  • Synthesize information across a variety of stakeholders (other analysts, business partners, engineers)
  • Exercise strong listening skills, and curiosity, to ask the right questions to deeply understand current and future business process needs
  • Develop a strong understanding of Guidewire operational data, and analytics tools, to inform research and recommendations
  • Contribute to the definition of User Personas
  • Develop a rich understanding of the Software Development Lifecycle Process, and learn where to contribute as well as influence the process for successful outcomes
  • Develop User Stories that are used in the development of software products
  • Provide feedback to User Experience designs, software prototypes, and data models
  • Develop test cases, and perform functional testing
Experience:
  • Team player who values winning as a team
  • Strong presentation and communication skills
  • Bachelor\'s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, MIS or equivalent combination of education and experience
