Department Overview:
  • Global Operations and Business Services is a diverse and dynamic group of individuals, whose varied talents and experiences enable us to provide critical infrastructure services that support and/or control the trading, investment, and corporate banking functions of client Securities.   • The Global Operations team partners with the front office and other groups globally to mitigate risk and deliver world class service to our global client base. They provide operational support and control functions across the trade lifecycle. The team is heavily involved in new product initiatives and process improvements to streamline our support model. They take great pride in ensuring controls are being continuously reviewed and updated while focusing on the customer at every point of contact.
  • Global Operations team is in the process of building out our automation capabilities in the team and is seeking an entrepreneurial minded person to help us to partake in this objective.   • Business Analyst is accountable for partnering with the run-the-bank teams in Global Operations to identify areas of process improvement and design, re-engineer new workflow for process efficiency. The candidate will get an opportunity to work and develop with a variety of workflow automation solutions mainly using ServiceNow and other workflow automation tools offered at client for repetitive processes.
Job Requirements:
  • Design, develop new workflow for process efficiency and implement workflow automation using tools offered at client (ServiceNow, Camunda BPM etc)
  • Analyze complex business processes, and translate into business requirements to address issues
  • Collaborate with cross-function teams in various global locations to define and drive a standardized approach to leverage workflow tools for automation
  • Prioritize incoming projects based on key criteria: capacity creation, operational risk avoidance, and control improvements
  • Develop and maintain good business relationships with "internal clients" and lead, coach, motivate a diverse team to influence and promote a culture of innovation
  • Act as an operation group liaison across client Securities and other client enterprise automation teams
  • Highly motivated individual with a proven track record to deliver results.
  • Exceptional problem-solving capabilities with an ability to collect and analyze data paired with passion to expand automation skillsets
Must have:
  • 2 years or more of experience in business process design, analysis, and mapping as BA or as developer
  • Strong communication skills and an ability to articulate complex issues in a concise manner, able to synthesize complex information into simple discussion points.
  • Knowledge of project/program support, planning, implementation and change management
  • Strong Microsoft suite (specifically Excel)
  • Tenacious mentality and ability to problem solve and 'think outside of the box'
  • Enjoys the challenge of a fast-paced, dynamic, high volume work environment
  • Ability to work successfully as a member of a team and independently
Nice To Have:
  • Experience in development works using workflow tools such as ServiceNow, Camunda BPM is an asset
  • Experience in Robotic Process Automation tools such as UiPath, Blue Prism, Automation Anywhere is a plus.
  • Understanding of Prime Brokerage markets, with specific emphasis on the US markets is a plus
  • Experience with data manipulation and utilizing multiple data source is an asset
