What You\xe2\x80\x99ll Do As a Bulk Truck and Emulsion Plant Operator, you will be responsible for the safe manufacturing of our world-class bulk emulsion product and required to follow all safe management systems that apply to the position. We are looking for someone that is mechanically inclined and can demonstrate the skills required to maintain our process plant. In addition to being a plant operator, you should be willing to train on various types of Dyno Nobel Bulk trucks and specialty equipment to prepare and deliver explosive products to customers in a safe, timely, and efficient manner. Training will be provided by experienced personnel. Some duties will include:
  • Support Zero Harm culture in Health, Safety & Environment
  • On-time Completion of documentation and reports
  • Operate Emulsion Plant to prepare and deliver quality products to customer
  • Operate and perform maintenance on plant facility within Dyno Nobel Health and Safety Management System procedures and practices
  • Operate and perform minor maintenance of heavy motor vehicles and perform gassing operations within Health and Safety Management System procedures
  • Calibrate equipment, monitor fuel percentages, check emulsion density, and perform Quality Control analysis on product
  • Load and unload trucks & Silos, and maintain Site Inventories
  • Follow all safety procedures and maintain safe working conditions in the shop, while driving and operating equipment, and while on blast sites to protect personal safety and the safety of others (Zero Harm)
  • Prepare and maintain all records and monthly reports concerning the production and sales of explosive products
  • Prepare and maintain all records and reports concerning the handling and transportation of explosive products, including safety, and the use and detonation of explosives, to assure accurate billing, regulatory compliance, and performance history
  • Possess a good general knowledge of handling, storing, and using explosives (NRCan Regulations)

What We\xe2\x80\x99re Looking For
  • Valid Class 1 driver\xe2\x80\x99s License
  • Minimum 2-year mechanical background
  • Stationary engineer certification would be an asset
  • Well versed in Excel and Office applications
  • Be able to pass pre-access medical and criminal record check
  • Ability to wear a respirator
  • Clean drivers abstract
  • Ability to read, write, and speak English, and to communicate in writing and verbally.
  • Must be at least 21 years of age.
  • Positive attitude, friendly demeanor, team player
