This position, reporting directly to the company Operations Manager, is responsible for the maintenance activities of land and buildings maintained by the company. This is a very hands-on position that involves duties including tenant relations, maintenance and repair, security, janitorial services, landscaping, snow removal, garbage collection, etc. The Building Superintendent is charged with carrying out daily scheduled tasks as well as any unscheduled jobs that may come up, in a safe and environmentally sound manner keeping in mind management's goals and objectives.

Responsibilities/ Duties



Minor carpentry, plumbing, electrical and HVAC tasks.

Landscaping/grounds keeping.

Painting interior & exterior.

Snow clearing/salting around building's walkways, steps and entrances as required.

Provide excellent tenant service.

Report and/or repair any deficiencies found within the properties.

Report property damage and vandalism.

Coordinate with contractors.

Inform management of all emergency situations promptly.

Comply with appropriate and applicable policies and procedures.

Required Skills and Qualifications



Proven experience in general maintenance (carpentry, plumbing, electrical, HVAC).

Basic knowledge of landscaping and groundskeeping.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Strong communication skills.

Physically fit and able to perform manual labor.

Valid driver's license is required.

Willingness to be on-call during evenings, weekends, and holidays as part of a rotating schedule.

Good problem-solving skills and ability to make decisions quickly.

Experience with safety protocols and using personal protective equipment.

Good organizational skills to keep track of tasks and schedules.

Previous experience in a similar maintenance or facilities management role is preferred.

Ability to multi-task and have attention to detail.

Bilingual (French/English).

Benefits & Salary



Salary will be commensurate with experience.

Entitled to accrue vacation of two (2) weeks (10 business days) per year

Entitled to eleven (11) public paid holidays

Description de poste



Ce poste, relevant directement au Responsable des Operations, est responsable des activites de maintenance des terrains et des batiments entretenus par l'entreprise. Il s'agit d'un poste tres pratique qui implique des taches telles que les relations avec les locataires, la maintenance et la reparation, la securite, les services de nettoyage, l'entretien paysager, le deneigement, la collecte des dechets, etc. Le Technicien de Maintenance des Batiments est charge d'executer les taches quotidiennes planifiees ainsi que toutes les interventions imprevues qui pourraient survenir, de maniere sure et respectueuse de l'environnement, tout en gardant a l'esprit les objectifs et buts de la direction.

Responsabilites /Fonctions



Petits travaux de menuiserie, plomberie, electricite et HVAC. Entretien paysager/gestion des espaces exterieurs. Peinture interieure et exterieure. Deneigement/salage des allees, des escaliers et des entrees du batiment, selon les besoins. Fournir un excellent service aux locataires. Signaler et/ou reparer toute deficience constatee dans les proprietes. Signaler les dommages a la propriete et les actes de vandalisme. Coordonner avec les entrepreneurs. Informer la direction de toutes les situations d'urgence sans delai. Respecter les politiques et procedures appropriees et applicables.

Competences et qualifications requises



Experience averee en maintenance generale (menuiserie, plomberie, electricite, HVAC). Connaissances de base en entretien paysager et gestion des espaces exterieurs. Capacite a travailler de maniere autonome et en equipe. Excellentes competences en communication. Bonne condition physique et capacite a effectuer des travaux manuels. Permis de conduire valide requis. Disponibilite pour etre de garde pendant les soirees, week-ends et jours feries dans le cadre d'un planning tournant. Bonnes competences en resolution de problemes et capacite a prendre des decisions rapidement. Experience des protocoles de securite et de l'utilisation des equipements de protection individuelle. Bonnes competences organisationnelles pour suivre les taches et les horaires. Experience prealable dans un role similaire de maintenance ou de gestion des installations souhaitee. Capacite a effectuer plusieurs taches en meme temps et attention aux details. Bilingue (Francais/Anglais).

Avantages et salaire



Le salaire sera en fonction de l'experience. Droit a deux (2) semaines (10 jours ouvrables) de conges payes par an. Droit a onze (11) jours feries payee.
