We have an opportunity for a Building Services Coordinator.

Job Summary

The Building Services Coordinator is accountable to the Building Services Manager and is responsible for coordination of the building maintenance activities and its planning, providing support to the Building Services team, supporting troubleshooting facility systems, monitoring building infrastructure as per procedures and Engineering Best Practices. These building equipment/systems include but are not limited to HVAC systems, Effluent & Drainage Systems, Laboratory Utilities, Building Automation System, Electrical Systems, and other Facilities equipment. This role is also responsible for coordinating with third party contractors according to the maintenance plan and preventive and corrective work orders.

The Building Services department is responsible for the following programs and systems across the Cambridge site complex comprised of 5 buildings: custodian and sanitation, building repairs, maintenance, and projects, building systems, security, pest control, maintenance program, and HVAC

Responsibilities

  • Plan and coordinate with the in-house technicians the schedule, resources and sequence of work orders execution and implementation based on the department and plant priorities and resources availability.
  • Plan and coordinate with approved third-party contractor execution of work orders according to existing computerized maintenance system. Coordinate additional resources and documents related to the implementation of planned activities.
  • Coordinate with maintenance, production and supply chain, equipment, and areas availability; and involve other departments as needed to assess the implication of work execution and limitation and impacts related to activities executed by the Building Services Team.
  • Coordinate the schedule and execution of work orders in CARL (computerized maintenance system) and Building Services request systems, to ensure timely completion and closure of all preventative and corrective work orders and requests.
  • Prepare and maintain the department key indicators and statistics related to work orders and request completion and compliance according to the plant standards.
  • Coordinate with the custodian team the monthly cleaning schedule and plan for special cleaning and activities in the plant.
  • Coordinate with the security team the designation of parking spaces, lockers and access based on internal procedures and standards. Maintain the designation register database updated including employee changes, new hires, and other relevant changes in personnel head count.
  • Coordinate with the custodian team the organization, 5S and distribution of the change rooms, uniforms, and airlocks in the plant.
  • Maintain up to date a uniform inventory database and coordinate with the third-party uniforms contractors for new garment requirements, personalized garment, and storage requirements based on the employee's headcount changes and other requirements.
  • Keep the maintenance work order inventory updated. Add equipment, maintenance plans, schedules, and work orders to the system when necessary. Update the maintenance activities based on changes and new requirements.
  • Maintains a high level of pharmaceutical compliance and regulatory safety in all aspects of work.
Qualifications
  • Facilities or, Maintenance and reliability technician certification or similar certification with related experience required
  • Minimum 1 year of experience in manufacturing environment, preferably in pharmaceutical, food/beverage or consumer packaging.
  • Able to read and interpret architectural, mechanical, electrical, and P&ID drawings / schematics
  • Good interpersonal, troubleshooting, communication, planning & organizing skills, demonstrates initiative, problem solver, team player, results oriented and self-motivated.
  • Has the ability to lead and take ownership on systems and projects.
  • Experience in AutoCAD, MS Project, Word, Excel, PowerPoint
  • Experience with maintenance management systems and ERPs is an asset
  • Experience in a Lean Manufacturing environment is an asset
