Overview

The building operator is accountable for the performance of daily maintenance activities and service requests to insure that the building, swimming pool and it's grounds are kept in exceptional condition. We are seeking a skilled, self motivated, organized individual to perform a variety of maintenance functions including a swimming pool, hot tub and sauna. Personal attributes including excellent communication skills and ethical work practices are key requirements.

Responsibilities

Consult regularly with the board and management company Provide monthly reports to the board Test the swimming pool water daily and send a sample to AHS weekly Perform preventative, routine and emergency maintenance, including the pool. Work with contractors to perform required testing and certification of building systems. Provide excellent customer service and communication with resident and other service providers. Work with the property manager in administrative duties such as, purchase orders, requisitions, and email communication. Carry out minor repairs in common areas and grounds including but not limited to, lighting, carpentry, drywall and painting. Conduct damage inspections in common areas and elevators related to moves and deliveries. Coordinating garbage and recycling pick up some snow shoveling

Skills

Experience in pool maintenance is essential Experience in one or more of the following trades; plumbing, HVAC, electrical, carpentry Possess good mechanical skills Strong written and verbal communication skills Must complete a criminal background check Must be bondable Proven work ethic - punctual, reliable, organized, self-motivated, self-directed, work well independently, willing to ask for clarification, and able to integrate constructive feedback. Must be able to lift 50 lbs
Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $25.00-$30.00 per hour

Expected hours: 25 per week
