We are looking for a highly motivated and experienced Building Operator to join our Operations team at Bow Valley Square in Calgary. In this role, you will supervise and adjust building equipment to ensure maximum efficiency. With a customer service-focused approach, you will also ensure all tenant and operation teams\xe2\x80\x99 requests are completed promptly.

As a member of this team, you will be responsible for:

  • Meter readings, daily readings, water treatment, and building operations via the building automation system for optimum energy savings
  • Basic programming understanding, scheduling, and commanding of equipment
  • Maintenance on all mechanical equipment including monthly, quarterly, and annual preventative maintenance tasks (Augus Systems)
  • Monitoring the building automation system to ensure tenant comfort and to ensure systems are running at maximum efficiency
  • Contacting and managing 3rd party contractors for quotes for projects and repairs
  • Responding to tenant calls through 310-maxx within targeted time requirements
  • Assisting Chief Engineer with Energy Initiatives such as LEED, ASHRAE, etc.
  • Responsible for Material and supplies ordering
  • Conduct continuous inspections for operation and aesthetics
  • Conduct monthly testing for Fire Alarm systems and Emergency Systems at 0xford Place.
  • Miscellaneous repairs and installations in tenant spaces
  • Support Chief Power Engineer to ensure preventive and data driven maintenance is carried out with internal staff and third-party contractors
  • Provide support, technical expertise and recommendations for operational improvements to Operations Manager
To succeed in this role, you:
  • Possess 2-5 years\xe2\x80\x99 experience of high-rise building operations and maintenance.
  • Education: minimum high school diploma
  • ABSA Power Engineer Certificate \xe2\x80\x93 4th Class or higher
  • Have worked with HVAC systems, Preventative Maintenance, and Fire & Life Safety Systems, and nice to have; experience with BAS Controls eg. ALC, and Reliable Systems
  • Knowledge of building systems and controls, HVAC troubleshooting and repairs, and experience with Pneumatic and DDC automation systems would be an asset
  • Experience administering \xe2\x80\x9cSMART\xe2\x80\x9d building technologies, and integrating different base building systems to create efficiencies preferred
