Job Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented and strategic Buyer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing the procurement process, ensuring that our manufacturing operations run smoothly by sourcing high-quality materials at competitive prices. The Buyer will play a crucial role in vendor management, negotiation, and maintaining effective supply chain relationships to meet our organizational needs.

Duties

Develop and implement sourcing strategies to optimize procurement processes and reduce costs. Manage vendor relationships, ensuring compliance with contracts and quality standards. Conduct market research to identify potential suppliers and evaluate pricing structures. Utilize ERP systems and MRP tools to manage inventory levels and forecast purchasing needs. Negotiate pricing and terms with suppliers to secure favorable agreements. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including manufacturing, logistics, and finance, to align purchasing strategies with business objectives. Monitor supplier performance and resolve any issues related to quality or delivery. Maintain accurate records of purchases, pricing, and inventory levels in SAP or similar systems.

Experience

Proven experience in purchasing or procurement within a building materials environment is preferred. Strong knowledge of vendor management practices and supply chain principles. Excellent negotiation skills with a track record of achieving cost savings. Ability to analyze pricing trends and make data-driven decisions. Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with internal teams and external suppliers. A degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field is advantageous.
