We are seeking a skillful Building Manager to join our team who will manage a variety of properties and development projects in Hamilton and surrounding areas. Forge & Foster\xe2\x80\x99s goal is to continue to provide value-add strategies in real estate acquisitions and achieve successful completions. In order to accomplish this, we need the ideal candidate to collaborate with our team and manage all aspects of building management duties such as responsibility for the financial success, liaising with contractors while building relationships with tenants and ensuring assets manage a high level of standard. Reporting to the CIO, this role will have the opportunity to build strong project management skills and exposure to the rising commercial real estate market. The day to day would be on the road and onsite at a number of different properties owned by Forge & Foster. This position requires strong problem solving skills, good organizational skills, attention to detail, and an ability to work independently. Previous contracting, customer service and property management skills would be an asset. Responsibilities:

• Property management and asset management of a to-be determined list of properties
• Organizing construction and redevelopment projects
• Day -to-day maintenance and customer service of existing property tenants
• Assist in the advancement of real estate development files through all phases (feasibility, planning, design, construction and delivery)
• Help to be responsible for the financial success, the schedule and the quality of the projects
• Ensure timely and accurate updates on the status of all development activities
• Continuously seek out business development opportunities through developing and nurturing strategic relationships
• Maintain a high level of respect and trust within the development community
• Assist in establishing project budgets and schedules
• Assist in the completion of monthly project cash flow and budgets
• Assist in preparing monthly construction draws and work with cost consultant to obtain approvals for loan disbursements
• Prepare pricing estimates and obtain quotes from trades
• Manage the on-site construction of the project

Qualifications:

• Strong organizational and project management skills and attention to detail
• Ability to multitask, prioritize deliverables, and manage and meet tight deadlines
• Service-oriented and proactive, with good interpersonal skills and a passion for developing strong relationships with existing clients and prospects
• Strong interpersonal skills
• Great personality and sense of humor
