Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled and proactive Building Maintenance Technician to oversee the upkeep and functionality of our facilities. This role involves performing routine inspections, repairs, and preventative maintenance to ensure a safe, efficient, and well-maintained environment. The ideal candidate will possess strong mechanical, electrical, and facilities maintenance skills, along with leadership experience to supervise maintenance teams when necessary. Duties

Conduct regular inspections of building systems including electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and structural components Perform repairs and preventative maintenance on equipment and facilities using welding, electrical skills, and mechanical knowledge Read and interpret schematics, technical manuals, and wiring diagrams to troubleshoot issues effectively Operate and maintain programmable logic controllers (PLCs) and utilize Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) for work orders and documentation Supervise maintenance staff or contractors as needed, providing leadership and ensuring safety protocols are followed Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, inspections, and repairs Coordinate with manufacturing teams to minimize downtime during maintenance activities Ensure compliance with safety standards and facility regulations Assist in the installation of new equipment or upgrades to existing systems Provide excellent customer service by addressing facility concerns promptly and professionally

Qualifications

Proven supervising experience in facilities or manufacturing maintenance roles Strong electrical experience including working with programmable logic controllers (PLCs) and schematics Mechanical knowledge. Familiarity with CMMS software for maintenance tracking and management Knowledge of facilities maintenance best practices within a manufacturing environment Ability to read technical schematics, wiring diagrams, and manuals effectively Excellent communication skills in English for clear documentation and team coordination Leadership qualities with the ability to supervise teams or contractors efficiently Prior experience in manufacturing or industrial facilities is highly desirable Strong problem-solving skills with a focus on safety, efficiency, and customer service
