Founded in 2017 with the purchase of the historic Bennett property in West Kelowna, Frind Estate Winery blends traditional agriculture with cutting-edge technology. With over 400 acres of vineyards across 15 thriving sites in the Okanagan Valley--and another 250 acres planned--we are at the forefront of viticultural innovation.

We cultivate excellence across multiple grape varieties, including Chardonnay, Sauvignon Blanc, Riesling, Pinot Noir, Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc, Marechal Foch, and Regent, spanning vineyard locations from Osoyoos to Vernon.

We are seeking a

Building Maintenance Technician

to help keep our winery and facilities operating at their best. This role offers the chance to take on a variety of hands-on tasks in a supportive and dynamic environment, while contributing directly to the success and growth of our winemaking team. This role is based in our West Kelowna, British Columbia, Production facility located at 3725 Boucherie Road.

Responsibilities:

Perform routine maintenance tasks, including but not limited to plumbing, electrical, and HVAC repairs. Conduct regular inspections of buildings and winemaking equipment to identify issues and recommend necessary repairs. Respond promptly to maintenance and repair activities. Assist in maintaining a clean and organized work environment. Collaborate with other team members to complete projects and tasks efficiently. Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment.

Requirements:

Minimum of 5 years experience in a related role. AEC / DEP or Skilled Trade Certificate is preferred. Drivers class 5 in good standing required. Proven experience in building maintenance or a related field. Strong knowledge of maintenance procedures and techniques. Strong knowledge of electrical, plumbing, and HVAC systems. Ability to operate maintenance equipment and tools safely. Excellent attention to detail, taking initiative and problem-solving skills. Excellent communication and teamwork skills. Ability to lift heavy objects up to 40 lbs. Occasional travel is required to work at sites in Osoyoos and Vernon.

What We Offer

The pay range for this position is

$28 - $37 per hour

. Placement within this range will be based on qualifications, experience, internal equity, and market alignment.
