Building Maintenance Person
Job Description
Under minimal supervision, performs a wide range of skilled mechanical maintenance and repair work related to equipment and structures and systems in accordance with set guidelines and standards. Representative duties may include the cleaning, lubricating and repairing of mechanical parts on building equipment, monitoring the operation of and performing routine preventative maintenance duties on boilers and air handling systems; repair and some construction of basic wooden structures and furniture; adjusting and minor repair and part replacement on plumbing fixtures and pipes; testing and adjusting light and electrical fixtures; assisting and coordinating outside trades/contractors and other assigned staff with various construction, repair or maintenance tasks.
Job Types: Full-time, Fixed term contract
Contract length: 6 months
Pay: $17.24-$22.00 per hour
Education:
Secondary School (preferred)
Experience:
Maintenance: 2 years (preferred)
