Job Summary


Happy Valleys is seeking a knowledgeable and enthusiastic Budtender to join our team at our new location! The ideal candidate will have a passion for cannabis and a strong background in customer service and retail sales. As a Budtender, you will be responsible for providing exceptional service to our customers, educating them about our products, and ensuring compliance with all regulations. Your ability to communicate effectively and create a welcoming environment will be key to enhancing the customer experience.

Duties



Assist customers in selecting cannabis products that meet their needs and preferences. Provide detailed information on product strains, effects, and usage methods. Operate the point-of-sale (POS) system for transactions, including cash handling and cashiering duties. Maintain an organized and clean display of products through effective merchandising. Upsell products by understanding customer needs and making appropriate recommendations. Ensure compliance with all local laws and regulations regarding the sale of cannabis. Manage inventory levels, including filing and restocking as necessary. Utilize Microsoft Office applications, particularly Microsoft Word. Collaborate with team members to enhance overall store operations and customer satisfaction. Engage in heavy lifting as needed for inventory management. Communicate with Management on a daily basis, ensuring all needs for the store are clear.

Experience



Previous experience in retail sales or customer service is preferred. Familiarity with cannabis products is a plus but not required; training will be provided. Consumer of Cannabis is a plus but not required. Strong communication skills in English; bilingual or multilingual candidates (including French) are highly desirable. Proficiency in computer operation and basic math skills for handling transactions accurately. Demonstrated organizational skills and time management abilities to handle multiple tasks efficiently. Leadership qualities that contribute to a positive team environment. Ability to follow instruction, and the ability to reach out when unsure about said instruction. Job Types: Part-time, Permanent

Pay: From $16.00 per hour

Expected hours: 15 - 30 per week
