As the Budget Officer, you will support Yukon University\'s budget planning, development, and implementation and monitor it through periodic reviews. You will also review, track, cost, and monitor third-party projects as they evolve from concept to finalized funding contracts to project completion.

The ideal candidate will have a diploma/degree in accounting or have completed their second year towards a CPA accounting designation. Significant work experience preparing and overseeing budgets, forecasting and financial reports and analyzing financial results is required. An equivalent combination of completed post-secondary education and experience may also be considered.

This position will be based at YukonU\xe2\x80\x99s Ayamdigut campus in Whitehorse. Built on the traditional territory of the Ta\'an Kw\xc3\xa4ch\xc3\xa4n and Kwanlin D\xc3\xbcn First Nations, Whitehorse is known as the Wilderness City\xe2\x80\x94and it\xe2\x80\x99s easy to see why. Nurtured by the Yukon River, Whitehorse is surrounded by hike-able mountains and pristine lakes and streams, with a trail system you could spend a lifetime exploring. Whitehorse\xe2\x80\x99s climate is, on average, milder than comparable northern communities, and with up to nineteen hours of daylight in summer, you have all the time you need to follow your passion for being on the land. With its healthy economy, small-town values, and safe environment, Whitehorse is a great place to raise a family, especially if you enjoy an active lifestyle. Several local schools offer French immersion and experiential educational opportunities, and the city is home to a vibrant arts community, great caf\xc3\xa9s and eateries, and excellent recreation centres.

Whitehorse is also within driving distance of the Kluane, Tatshenshini-Alsek, and Chilkoot Trail regions. Longer trips to historic Dawson City, the Wrangell Mountains of Alaska, and BC\xe2\x80\x99s Northern Rockies are possible.
