Job Overview

We are seeking a friendly and enthusiastic Barista to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for coffee and customer service, providing an exceptional experience for our patrons. As a Barista, you will be responsible for preparing and serving a variety of beverages and food items while maintaining a clean and inviting cafe environment.

Duties

Prepare and serve high-quality coffee and espresso beverages, teas, and other menu items. Operate the Aloha POS or Micros POS system for order processing and cash handling. Provide excellent customer service by engaging with customers, taking orders accurately, and addressing any inquiries or concerns. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the cafe area, including food preparation stations and dining areas. Ensure compliance with food safety standards and proper food handling procedures. Assist in inventory management, including restocking supplies as needed. Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient service during peak hours. Utilize time management skills to prioritize tasks effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

Previous barista experience or coffee industry knowledge is preferred but not required. Strong customer service skills with the ability to create a welcoming atmosphere for guests. Basic math skills for accurate cash handling and retail math calculations. Experience in food preparation and food service is a plus. Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha or Micros is advantageous. Ability to work in a team-oriented environment while also being self-motivated.
